Master of Christian Contemporary Music

The Master of Christian Contemporary Music (M.C.C.M.) is a graduate program designed to equip individuals with advanced musical and ministry skills for leadership and creative expression in the field of contemporary Christian music. This degree is intended for those who have a passion for music and a calling to use their artistic talents to glorify God, engage with the culture, and communicate the transformative message of the Gospel through contemporary music genres.

Program Objectives:

  • Develop musical excellence: The M.C.C.M. program aims to develop students’ musical proficiency in vocal performance, songwriting, instrumental skills, music theory, and composition, enabling them to create and deliver high-quality contemporary Christian music.
  • Cultivate spiritual growth and worship leading skills: The program emphasizes the importance of spiritual formation, nurturing students’ personal relationship with God and equipping them with the skills to lead worship and engage congregations in meaningful and authentic worship experiences.
  • Explore contemporary music genres: Students will study and explore various contemporary music genres, such as pop, rock, gospel, hip-hop, worship, and others, understanding their unique characteristics and how they can be utilized to effectively communicate the Christian message.
  • Develop ministry and creative leadership skills: The M.C.C.M. program equips students with skills in ministry leadership, creative direction, team collaboration, and stage presence, empowering them to effectively lead and minister through music in diverse ministry contexts.
  • Engage in practical experience: Students will have opportunities to apply their musical and ministry skills in real-world settings, such as leading worship in churches, recording and producing music, organizing concerts, and engaging in music outreach projects.

  • Worship Pastor or Leader: Graduates of the M.C.C.M. program can serve as worship pastors or leaders in churches, leading congregational worship, mentoring worship teams, and facilitating transformative worship experiences.
  • Christian Music Artist: The degree equips individuals to pursue careers as Christian music artists, either as solo artists or band members, using their musical talents to create and perform music that uplifts, inspires, and brings people closer to God.
  • Songwriter or Composer: Graduates can work as songwriters or composers, crafting music with Christian themes and messages for artists, worship teams, or media platforms, contributing to the growth and impact of contemporary Christian music.
