(This testimonial was written by one of our incarcerated students, sharing their faith and study of God’s Word.)

I write this letter with a big pain in my soul.

I cannot explain for myself how this happened but it happened — I made a misconduct. The four weeks before my release, I was involved in fighting.

Hundreds of times I had situations which have provoked me to the fighting, but God every time has protected me. However, in this time I became blind. This happened momentarily, I even had no time to make a decision. My stupid old nature overwhelmed me.

I do not know what can I say… I have thought that a punishment will be just the restart of the program for the next 5 months (I wrote about this in my previous letter), but today in February 228 on my day of the release, I received a hit: next parole board review will be in October 2025.

I am broken down. I do not ask God, “Why”? I kept silent, I just lifted up the cross of my sinner nature and continued to go my way.

I am so sorry about what happened, and I hope that will not break our relationship.

I sent my last course in Biblical Hebrew, and have begun to write my thesis. And first of all, I continue to work with my character and with my old consciousness. In this facility, I have a strong support team, thanks to God! In this facility, there are enough benefits for me to do my time. Again, praise God!

This accident restrained me by anticipation of shame. I beg God covered my self-sabotage by His mercy and His power of restoration.
