The Doctor of Pastoral Ministry (D.P.M.) is an advanced professional degree designed for individuals who seek to deepen their knowledge, skills, and spiritual formation in pastoral ministry. This program equips graduates with advanced theological, pastoral, and leadership competencies to serve as effective shepherds and leaders within Christian communities.
Program Objectives:
- Advanced Pastoral Leadership: The D.P.M. program aims to develop advanced pastoral leadership skills, equipping students with the knowledge and abilities to provide visionary and transformative leadership within churches and Christian organizations. Students will study topics such as church administration, strategic planning, pastoral care, preaching, and discipleship, cultivating their ability to guide and shepherd congregations effectively.
- Advanced Theological Engagement: Students will engage in advanced theological studies, deepening their understanding of Christian doctrine, biblical interpretation, and theological reflection. They will explore theological topics relevant to pastoral ministry, such as ecclesiology, hermeneutics, Christian ethics, missiology, and the integration of theology and practice in the pastoral context.
- Spiritual Formation and Personal Growth: The program emphasizes the cultivation of spiritual formation and personal growth in aspiring pastoral leaders. Students will engage in spiritual disciplines, reflective practices, and personal mentoring to develop their own spiritual maturity and enhance their ability to nurture the spiritual growth of others.

- Senior Pastor: Graduates of the D.P.M. program can serve as senior pastors in churches of various sizes. They will provide visionary leadership, preach and teach the Word of God, shepherd the congregation, and guide the church in fulfilling its mission and ministry.
- Church Consultant: Graduates can work as church consultants, assisting congregations in areas such as leadership development, strategic planning, revitalization, and conflict resolution. They will bring their advanced pastoral and leadership skills to help churches overcome challenges and enhance their effectiveness.
- Denominational Leadership: The degree prepares individuals to serve in leadership positions within denominational bodies, such as regional directors, denominational executives, or denominational educators.
