One of the questions which are commonly asked about a bible college is whether or not one has to seek a ministry career if attending such a college. The general assessment is that to go to a bible college one has to have preaching as a career objective. This is a misconception. Ordained vs. Oration
When you obtain a degree in a ministry field, you can become ordained. The viewpoint matters greatly in how the approach to a patient is handled. One is worldly, the other is godly.
If you do not want a career dedicated to speaking then a degree in theology may be appropriate. Such careers involve more writing and research, but are less involved in oration.

A Christian education does not mean that you have to be a preacher.
